Yarn along

So my second sock is gradually coming along. I love the self striping yarn, it looks so fancy. I'm reading Simplicity Parenting by Kim John Payne. Rachel at House full of jays recommended it and I'm really enjoying it. It makes me want to go on a toy purge and clear out all the stuff they don't even look at anymore- hopefully I will! Check out Ginny's blog for more yarn along stories.

Good luck with cleaning out some of the toys. Remember when I broached the subject with Unity in June??? Wasn't there only one thing she thought she could part with? Hmm. Sock looks good!

Haha, that's what happened to me - we were on vacation but I was making mental lists of all the stuff to go when we got back. It was kind of fun - until I got to the part about simplifying books...that I just couldn't do with great zeal. I managed to get rid of 18 out of our largish library.
That sock is looking great - I'm thinking we're due for some hand-knit socks this winter!

I love how self-striping yarn makes a simple knit sock look fancy. I keep telling myself I need to get working on sock knitting before fall hits.

I picked up Simplicity Parenting a couple of months ago and keep meaning to read it after all the good reviews I keep hearing about it.
