Covered in glitter and crumbs. Waking up to maracas and fairy wings. Pockets full of rubber bands and dandelions. Buried under book piles. Dirty hands with homemade kombucha. Coffee in the rain. Waiting for that sacred scrap of silence.

Beach
Well, that certainly felt like summer. We spent the afternoon at the lake, splashing and digging and soaking up the day. Brixton has been struggling with a fear of water (even taking a bath is difficult for him these days) so I was more than surprised that he went to the lake's edge and had a great time playing with the bubbles and the waves. Fingers crossed that this marks a new beginning in his relationship with water.

Great fun! Someday we hope to take Unity and Brixton to the beach too. Glad to see that Mr. B is a little more receptive to the concept of water. How could he resist when the other kids are having such a good time?
