Covered in glitter and crumbs. Waking up to maracas and fairy wings. Pockets full of rubber bands and dandelions. Buried under book piles. Dirty hands with homemade kombucha. Coffee in the rain. Waiting for that sacred scrap of silence.

We opened the bottle of champagne we've had on our shelf since I bought the house four years ago and had a little celebration tonight.
Congratulations on all counts. I stayed up long after my usual bed time and was up at 6:30 for more news. What a night! I'm so glad that Obama will inspire my grandchildren during the early years of their childhood.

Yay! I made everyone pancakes this morning to celebrate. :-)
Yes we can!
Yes we did!
Now we will!
We're with you in spirit . . . wish it could have been in spirits too! (How was the champagne?) Still celebrating this magnificent historical moment!
i'm wondering how many days it will take before thinking about his win doesn't bring tears to my eyes. (tears of joy, of course. absolute joy.)
