Covered in glitter and crumbs. Waking up to maracas and fairy wings. Pockets full of rubber bands and dandelions. Buried under book piles. Dirty hands with homemade kombucha. Coffee in the rain. Waiting for that sacred scrap of silence.

The many faces of Unity Jane
Unity has been making some little practice smiles but every time I come near with the camera, she switches to a different face. So here's a sample of some of those.
Ooooohhhh, little peanut! That first shot is *priceless* - what a cutie. Taking baby pictures gives me new respect for people who do this for a living - it's hard! Frankie always gets this deer-in-the-headlights look when we come at him with a camera. I hardly ever get one of him smiling.
A smiling face would be great, but I love the serious, pensive and tired ones too. And I think you've started a chorus as her other grandma and I both both shout in unison "We love you too Unity!!" Am I right, Ann?
I'm certainly going to bring my camera. Poor babies. I'm always glad to get a nice pleasant picture of Unity's Dad...but I have some beauts over the years. Unity will see the ones I've saved. She's beautiful. xxoo. See you Monday.
