Covered in glitter and crumbs. Waking up to maracas and fairy wings. Pockets full of rubber bands and dandelions. Buried under book piles. Dirty hands with homemade kombucha. Coffee in the rain. Waiting for that sacred scrap of silence.

About Town with Grandma Ann
Grandma Ann is in town from Vermont this week. She's been here since Monday, but we've been so busy doing stuff like going out to dinner and visiting the Aquarium that we haven't had time to properly document the experience for prosterity on the Internet. Hopefully these photos will help rectify the situation:
Unity and Grandma Ann talk about books
Unity's superpower is the ability to sleep anywhere in any position
Some of the many 'fishy' things we saw at the Aquarium
I'm sorry. One of the things about becoming a father is that I have to make corny jokes. I can't resist.
Unity! How did you get into the fish tank?

The many faces of Unity Jane
Unity has been making some little practice smiles but every time I come near with the camera, she switches to a different face. So here's a sample of some of those.

Bouncing Around
Sara is visiting from Philly and that's lovely. She and Unity enjoy bouncing on the ball and singing sea shanties.

Unity has a little cold right now so we've been syphoning the snot from her nose which she _loves_.
To cheer herself up she decided to be a WWII pilot who has a thing for ducks. Of course, one can't stay cheered up forever.
Into each day some fuss must come. But, when all else fails, there's always sleeping on a comforting shoulder.

Cast your vote
So there is a bit of a friendly debate going on in our house today. As of today, Unity is offically four weeks old. So does that make her, as one of us proclaims, one month old? Or, as the other insists, do we have to wait until Friday the 6th because she was born on the 6th of March? What do you think gentle readers?
At any rate, here's some photos of the ever-growing four week old.
