Covered in glitter and crumbs. Waking up to maracas and fairy wings. Pockets full of rubber bands and dandelions. Buried under book piles. Dirty hands with homemade kombucha. Coffee in the rain. Waiting for that sacred scrap of silence.

my new job
It's kind of funny to refer to it as my new job. I've been a mom for three and a half years. I've only been working part time that whole time. It's not like parenting is new to me. But today marks the first day of being home full-time, as a home manager. It's a transition, and I'm excited about it. And I've been preparing by doing ( I'll give you one guess) some reading. In case you can't read the titles, they are:
Steady Days, a journey toward intentional, professional motherhood by Jamie C. Martin
Baby Days, activities, ideas, and games for enjoying daily life with a child under three by Barbara Rowley
The Creative Family, how to encourage imagination and nurture family connections by Amanda Blake Soule
The Book of New Family Traditions, how to create great rituals for holidays and everyday by Meg Cox
Crafting Fun, 101 things to make and do with kids by Rae Grant
Unplugged Play, 710 games and activities for ages 12 months to 10 years by Bobbi Conner
The Daring Book for Girls by Andrea J Buchanan and Miriam Peskowitz
The Dangerous Book for Boys by Conn Iggulden and Hal Iggulden
