So, Christopher and I went to Portland, and Unity hung out with the beyond fantastic Megan B. ALL WEEKEND! Chris and I had great food, spent 3 plus hours in Powells and enjoyed lots o sunshine. Unity chased Megan's dog and cat around, went for walks and seemed barely phased to see her parents again. and we were all so relaxed that we forgot to take a single picture. Not even the dog remembered.
But-
Last Tuesday, Unity took her first few stumbly shaking steps, and then promptly collapsed. You heard it here first.

a weekend away from the parents? and a step? next thing, she's going to be snapping her gum and saying "like" and asking to borrow the car.

Glad everyone had such a nice weekend! Megan, you're a wonderful friend!! And what's this about first steps?? Did you happen to tell Ms. U. that the relatives will be heading out there soon? Is she practicing this new skill to impress us or so she can run and hide from all of those loving hands reaching out to scoop her up?? Guess we'll find out in nine days (but who's counting?!)!
