Covered in glitter and crumbs. Waking up to maracas and fairy wings. Pockets full of rubber bands and dandelions. Buried under book piles. Dirty hands with homemade kombucha. Coffee in the rain. Waiting for that sacred scrap of silence.
Katie, Chris and Unity, I got a chance to look back at all the pictures and just want to tell you that this is a neat way to keep in touch. Unity looks fantastic! I have sent you a package today (3/12) and you should get it by Friday. If it doesn't show up by next week let me know and we will track it. Love to all of you and Cindy hope you are enjoying every minute of your time with the new family. Aunt Linda
Dear Unity, Thanks for waiting until I got to the birthing center to make your entrance into this world. It was one of the most amazing, incredible experiences of my life . . . . way beyond thrilling!! (Ask Mommy to sing you the song "Little Bird at My Window". I sang it to you when you were just minutes old.) You are such a wonderful little bundle of love. Holding you in my arms now is a very special time for me that I am tucking into my heart to remember after I have to go back home. Aren't you a lucky little girl?! Your mom and Dad are such devoted parents. I am watching them interact with you with such patience and love even though they have been getting very little sleep. You, on the other hand, feeling that you are surrounded by love, are sleeping peacefully. A zillion family members and friends are sending you best wishes, gifts and most of all love. May you feel surrounded by this deep love all the days of your life! I love you with a heart overflowing with love, and always with a smile! Grandma Cindy
