give me a rose in the wintertime

We are all recuperating from a nasty little stomach bug that hit us this weekend. But today I'm feeling thankful for my overall health, in that way that only the first day of recovery can give you. Along with that, in these short dark days of winter it's so nice to have a few splashes of color. So here is a primrose and a (slightly sickly) geranium from our windowsills.

Lovely! Your plant looks great.
I, also got a nice looking plant, winter type, and it does bring a lot of cheer to a winter climate. Happy February 1.

It's nice to have flowers any time of year, but especially in winter. By the way, don't let Greg see that second plant! Are you sure it's a geranium? It doesn't look like a geranium to me. Glad you are all feeling better!!

oops mom, you're right. I think it's actually an impatien.

I think it is an impatien too. I've had many an impatien plant that got spindly toward the end of it's season. That's how I know. Good for you for keeping it alive and good for it for blooming!
