Mama sitting on Unity's lap (at her request)...playing in the park...falling asleep in the chair...new clothes...another park with Hiram and Zoren.
Covered in glitter and crumbs. Waking up to maracas and fairy wings. Pockets full of rubber bands and dandelions. Buried under book piles. Dirty hands with homemade kombucha. Coffee in the rain. Waiting for that sacred scrap of silence.

Funny
Two funny things from today:
This morning at breakfast Unity took her bottle and clinked it against my bowl of oatmeal and said "Cheers!"
This afternoon, after her nap, Unity was in a grumpy mood. She told Polly "Owwie!" When Polly asked "Where is the owwie?", Unity bit her hand and then said "I bit it!"

sicky sick sick
Unity has been having a rough time for the last couple of days. She's got some molars coming in which makes her grumpy and sick. Nothing seems to be the way she wants it to be. This photo captures the mood:
But things aren't all bad. Uncle Bruin is visiting from the Bay Area and hung out with Unity so we could go out to dinner for Valentines Day. Here's a serious photo and our modern take of American Gothic

By self!
That's the key phrase these days, Unity wants to eat, wear, play everything BY SELF!(This includes taking pictures on the rare occasions she's allowed to touch the camera.)
She has also been able to get some good snuggles in with papa, despite his "sick leg." The fractured femur is doing it's healing thing, and we are doing lots of resting at home.
