We are back home in Seattle, having had a lovely time in Chicago with family and friends.
One of the first things we've done has been to see how the garden has survived the snowfall. Luckily it looks like the only casualty has been the leeks, which were pretty far along anyways. So we havested all the leeks, as well as some rutabegas and turnips for dinner tonight.
Oh, and Unity has pronounced: "Turnip smells like good!"

Wow, I can't believe you could possibly harvest anything from the garden at this point. Isn't it under a layer of ice, followed by a layer of snow? Isn't it so frigidly cold that you can't stand to be outside harvesting?
I guess that's just Minnesota.
