Covered in glitter and crumbs. Waking up to maracas and fairy wings. Pockets full of rubber bands and dandelions. Buried under book piles. Dirty hands with homemade kombucha. Coffee in the rain. Waiting for that sacred scrap of silence.

chomper and stumpy

Congratulations Unity! I know it was hard work pushing chomper and stumpy through. Just wait until you get a whole mouthful of teeth to join them. That will make life even more fun. And Treens, great job continuing to film as Unity was crawling up your legs! I loved watching the crawling, the climbing and getting the fleeting chance to see chomper and stumpy up close and personal. Thanks!
Unity is so resourceful. Who needs a jungle gym (wow, is that totally un-PC? i can't imagine that name came from anywhere good, though i never thought about it before now) when you've got dining room chairs and a mom?
I've decided that it is okay... b/c the monkey bars are all about the way the monkeys are climbing and playing, potentially in the jungle, right? It isn't some comment about the wild antics of indigenous people, swinging from trees and what-have-you. Then again, my officemate Britta says that according to some politically correct dictionary, "jungle" should be replaced with "rain forest" so maybe I should have said "rain forest gym"
I also hear "babbling." Looking forward to seeing all of this in person soon at Thanksgiving. Also, that's a beautiful quilt you have in the background.
